Obituary of Dorothy Kalk
WEST CARTHAGE – Dorothy Carmen Kalk, 70, of Madison St., passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at home.
Dorothy was born on December 1, 1947 in Lowville, daughter of the late John Martin and Julia Maria Carmen Peńa Valler. She graduated from South Lewis Central School. She was primarily a homemaker but loved to babysit her grandchildren.
Three previous marriages to James Andrews, Gary Cooper and Earl Harberson ended in divorce.
Dorothy married George D. Kalk on May 14, 1994 in Deferiet, NY.
She is survived by her husband, George, three daughters, Kristi Harvey, Adams, Carmen Andrews, Watertown, Beverly Andrews, Sherburne, a son, Jack Cooper, Watertown, a sister, Roseanne Triance, Lacey, a brother Joseph Valler, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is predeceased by a brother, John R. Valler Sr.
Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and bingo; she also loved to sing & dance. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
A graveside service will be held on November 3 at 10:00 AM at Old Glendale Cemetery, Glendale, NY with a Celebration of Life immediately following at Grace Episcopal Church in Copenhagen, NY.
