Obituary of Leon E. Steele Sr.

 

Theresa- Leon E. Steele Sr. 71, of Silver Street Road died on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Samaritan Medical Center Emergency Room.  He was born on September 23, 1946 in Adams, New York to the late Roswell P. & Lola I. Gregory Steele.  He graduated High School from South Jefferson Central School, and then went on to work as a farmhand. Most recently he was a truck driver for Rippe Trucking, located in Chaumont, New York.

He is survived by his life partner, Brenda Parrish, Theresa; three sons, Leon E. Steele, Jr. Woodville; Roswell (Tina) Steele, Adams Center; and Timothy Steele and his companion Tammy Bond, Adams. A brother, Robert (Roxanne) Steele, Adams; A sister, Margaret Worthington, Adams. He is also survived by several grandchildren, Dakota, Sierra, John, Thomas, and Bridgette, and two great-grandchildren, Lily, Lakota and one on the way.

He was an avid Trout Fisherman and loved to hunt and enjoyed chopping wood.

He is predeceased by a brother in law, Albert Worthington and several brothers and sisters.

There will be no calling hours or funeral.  Burial will be held privately by the family.  Arrangements are being handled by the Northridge Cremation Chapel owned and operated by Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located on the Townline Road in Philadelphia, NY.
