Obituary of Elaine D Schloeder

BLACK RIVER – Elaine D. Schloeder, 81, formerly of Black River, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Seneca Hill Manor Nursing Home in Oswego.

Born in West Carthage on October 1, 1936 the daughter of Carlton J. and Hazel E. Petrie Blackwell.  She graduated from West Carthage High School with the Class of 1954.  She was primarily a homemaker; a marriage to John Schloeder ended in divorce.

Elaine is survived by her children; John, North Carolina, Paul, Black River, David and Diane, North Carolina, along with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her brother, James Blackwell of West Carthage.  She is predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Schvarcz.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with Pastor Thom Sherwood officiating.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, prior to the funeral service, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  Burial will be in Black River Cemetery.
