Obituary of Veronica I. Fuller
CARTHAGE – Veronica Irene Fuller, 91, formally of Route 126, passed away on Friday evening, May 3, 2019 at Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Veronica was born on July 30, 1927 in Carthage, New York, a daughter to the late Paul and Louise (Mono) Wormwood. She attended Carthage Central School and went on to work as a machine operator for Lolley’s Manufacturing Company as well as Crown Zellerbach in Carthage.
On March 24, 1962 Veronica married Lawrence E. Fuller. Lawrence passed away on September 8, 2010.
Veronica enjoyed playing bingo. She also played in a professional country music band for a time.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Guyette of Myrtle Beach, FL; Paul (Sharon) Fuller of Carthage, NY; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; a son, Clarence “Sonny” Pickering; a daughter, Julie Farney; and three brothers, Paul Wormwood Jr., Edward Wormwood, and Nelson Wormwood.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 1-4 PM at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 12:00 PM in Fairview Cemetery with Roger Mono officiating.
