Obituary of Marvin W. Peck

CARTHAGE- Marvin Warner Peck, 71, of 24218 Hewitt Park Circle, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
He was born on November 14, 1943 in West Carthage to Warner & Minnie Branagan Peck. He went to Carthage High School, then served in the United States Navy from 1960-1966. He married Dorothy Phillips on August 14, 1962 in West Carthage.
He worked for Matt Rosta in the 70's as an electrician doing plumbing and heating; he later worked for Fort Drum for 30 years as a sewage treatment plant operator & Electrician retiring in 1999. He then went to work for CEM in 2003 for 11 years before he became ill.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Carthage; two daughters, Deborah Turck, Carthage and Lori Carpenetti and her husband William, Alabama, his son and his wife, Wayne & Abbie Peck, Castorland; two sisters, Gertrude and her husband Charles Woodard, Denmark and Anna Clemons, Watertown and a brother, Bruce Peck, New Bremen. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Leonard Peck.
He was a member of the Carthage Elks Club BPOE #1762 for 40 years. A life time member of the Carthage Rod & Gun Club and Beaver River Gun Club, he Shot trap for both clubs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent as much time as possible at his Star Lake hunting camp.
There will be no public calling hours; services will be held privately by the family.
