BLACK RIVER – Karen E. Perretta, 67, 182 West Remington St., died Saturday morning, May 11, 2019 at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, where she had been a resident for a short time.

Born in Troy, NY the daughter of Charles V. & Elizabeth M. Post Murphy; she was a graduate of Stillwater High School, in Stillwater, NY.  A marriage to Ralph D. Perretta ended in divorce. She was employed by Fort Drum as a budget technician for several years.  Karen enjoyed crafting, painting, reading, crocheting, birdwatching and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children and their respective spouses:  Jolie & Vincent Cesario, Black River, Jennifer Foster, Carthage and Joshua & Tina Perretta, Black River.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Jared Bailey, Jordain, Mikayla and Kaleb Foster, Hunter and Brooke Craig and Keegan and Cullen Perretta, along with her great granddaughter, Rylynn Foster.  She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses; Charlene & Keith Weaver, Schuylerville, Joseph & Lissa Murphy, Florida, James & Karol Murphy, Saratoga, Thomas Murphy, Stillwater and Colleen Miller, Stillwater, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her sister, Judith Terns.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 7:30 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with the Rev. Donald Robinson officiating.  Calling hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, prior to the funeral, from 5:30 -7:30 PM.
