Bruce was an inspiration to many.  He was courageous, ambitious, brave, kind hearted, persistent, humble, quick-witted, he would do anything for anyone.  While farming in 1975, Bruce suffered an accident that left him disabled. He didn’t let that get in his way.  Copenhagen was his community, he never ventured far away and he was always around doing something for someone at all hours of the day or night.  He would be seen at the Copenhagen Fire Department, Stewarts in the early morning, visiting the post office and the diner and helped with Meals on Wheels program at the United Church. He enjoyed mowing lawns and plowing snow.

He was very frail at the end, but without even knowing it he inspired all with the importance of family and life.  Our hearts and lives will never be the same without him.  We take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with our parents.  Till we meet again Bruce.

Donations in his memory can be made to United Church of Copenhagen Memorial Fund (earmarked for anything needed in the kitchen and/or dining areas for support of the Meals on Wheels program, a cause Bruce has helped out with for 40 years that meant a lot to him and his parents.), P.O.
