Obituary of Glen W. House

COPENHAGEN – Glen W. House, 66, of Harris Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his home.

Glen was born on February 25, 1953 in Lowville, New York, son of the late George Washington and Veronica Marie (Davis) House.  He graduated from Copenhagen Central School and went on to become a Machine Equipment Operator for the Town of Champion.  He also served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.

On November 27, 1982 he married Sherry Lynn Nevills. 

Glen enjoyed fishing, camping and watching movies.  Most of all, though, he loved spending time with Landon, his grandchildren and his faithful canine companion, Jessie.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; a son, William (Sherry) House of Watertown; four siblings, Alma (David) Patocki of Watertown; Mary House of Carthage; Clifford (Betty) House of Calcium; and Stella (Tony) Murray of Dexter; four grandchildren, Laurinda Gould; Ryan Gould; Dallas Colvin; and Landon House; two great-grandchildren, Peighton Gardner and Blake Gould; mother & father-in-law, Frank and Shirley Nevills; three sisters-in-law, Tammey Rebb; Stacy Twombly; and Kandi Newton; two brothers-in-law, Ron Briton and Carl Newton; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy House; a sister, Cynthia House; brother-in-law, John Twombly, a step brother, Raymond House who passed in 2018, as well as two step sisters, Juanita and Rosie House.

No public services will be held.

Memorial donations will go toward a fund for Glen’s grandson, Landon.  Donations will be in care of Sherry House at PO Box 117, Copenhagen, NY 13626.
