Obituary of Robert G. Davis

CARTHAGE – Robert G. "Goober" Davis, 52, 11674 Zecher Rd., died Saturday evening, October 24th after being stricken at home. Born in Carthage on January 30, 1963, the son of Robert G. & Donna Babcock Davis. He graduated from Carthage Central High School and was formerly employed by the Town of Wilna Housing Authority at Brady Acres and at Eagle Ridge in Calcium. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. Goober is survived by his mother, Donna, his daughter, RaeChelle Davis, two stepchildren; Jordan and Jade Morgan along with his former wife, Shari Gerber. Also surviving are his siblings; Robin Davis & her companion, Brian McCue, Steve Davis, Scott Davis, Cheryl Davis, Melody Peebles & her husband Dan, as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with the Rev. Wayne Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Calling hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
