Obituary of Victoria Lawton

NATURAL BRIDGE – Victoria J. Lawton, 58, of Hickey Rd., passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. Vicki was born on November 13, 1961 in Carthage, a daughter of the late Michael L. and Donna (Rhone) LaLone. She attended Carthage Senior High School. On December 28, 1979 she married Roger Lawton. Her last employment was for Simon’s Farm & Home Center in Carthage. In recent years she was a homemaker, caring for her family. Vicki enjoyed knitting, crocheting, diamond painting, hunting and had a love for animals. She enjoyed All That. She was also an A1 seamstress. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and talking to her two best friends, Sheri Powers & Kendra Scott. She especially loved her granddaughters & great-grandchildren and spent much of her time with them. Vicki is survived by her husband, Roger Lawton; her daughter, Misty S. (Robert) Bell of Carthage; four siblings, Michael LaLone of Natural Bridge; Timothy LaLone of Natural Bridge; Linda (Robert) Passage of Natural Bridge; and Christopher (Brandi) LaLone of Watertown; two granddaughters, Makayla Lawton and Avianna Bell, both of Carthage; three great-grandchildren, Trisha Lynn Lawton-Esplin, and twin boys, Michael Kennith Lawton-Esplin and Kennith Michael Lawton-Esplin; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Roger’s siblings who she was very close to, Kendra (Dave) Scott; Danel (Brenda) Baker; Elaine (James) Slate; and Beth (Larry) Cork. She is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Karen who died in infancy; father-in-law, Roger & Karen Lawton; mother-in-law, Patsy & Russell Baker; as well as a sister-in-law, Kellie Bailey.
