Mike, Amy, Josh, and Logan (and Rocky, too), - We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a great person to spend time with at your parties or the boys' sporting events, and we could tell that she was always there for you and she just loved spending time with you.
You are in our thoughts at this sad time.
With Love,
The Farney Family

With a sad heart I send condolences to Sue’s family.
I was privileged to work with Sue in several BOCES classrooms. While we no longer worked together, we did keep in touch and get together for lunch on occasion. I will miss our phone conversations, our lunches but especially her laughter. We had some very good times. She was one of the hardest workers that I have ever met. She was dependable, always showing up to work early. She cared about her students. She cared about her students, often reflecting about her day to implement a different strategies the next day. She was able to work with the students that needed the most love and understanding. She created a loving environment for her students while at the same time having high expectations from them. She was always able to make her student shine. She had a gift with students and she will be missed. I was lucky to have her as a coworker and luckier that she was my dear friend. I will miss her generous friendship.
Outside of the work environment, She made it known how deeply loved her son Michael, her daughter-in-law Amy, and especially her two grandsons- Joshua and Logan. She often spoke of when she used to take Michele behind the house on Rt 3 to play in the water by Deferiet. I will always remember her, when I take my family to walk down to play in the water and to look for crayfish. She also mentioned the many camping trips she took with her family.
I know that Sue has earned her angel wings.
With my deepest sympathy,
Maureen David

Our sincere condolences to Sue’s family and close friends.
We were shocked and saddened by the news of Sue’s passing and we will continue to remember her with respect and a special fondness. We all worked in various districts and in various BOCES classrooms with Sue and, as we reminisced about our memories of her, we all agreed that despite her tiny stature, she was a dynamo! She was strong, tough, capable, adaptable, kind and compassionate with a practical approach and a big heart. We never knew her to shy away from a challenge and, no matter what her assignment was, she made it work. We all remember her smile and that keen sense of humor! She was known as a hard worker and she gave her all to the students she served. BOCES was lucky to have her! So were we!
Our Deepest Respects,
BOCES Retired Special Education Employees
