I have many fond memories of working with Gordon for years, and have often thought of him and wondered how he was doing in the past few years - I was so shocked and sad to read that he had passed. I am so sorry for your loss, Deb & Tyler - may he Rest In Peace, and I will be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. His video memorial is very nice.

Deb & Tyler...I am very sorry for all you have gone through and for the loss of a truly great guy! I will always remember holiday dinners at Shirley’s and how Gordon was always truly interested to know what we had been doing and offered advice when needed as he knew a lot about a lot of things. He certainly loved his family and it shined through in all conversations! May your memories help you heal.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Deb - and to Tyler, Julie and Gerry, as well. I have such wonderful memories of Gordon from when I was growing up. I always felt like he was my "extra" brother. I had so much fun playing board games at our kitchen table (he was seriously competitive!) Gordon is at rest with his Savior, and I know that brings great comfort to you.

Gordon was a good friend and mentor, I learned much about contracting while working together at the DOC on Fort Drum. One time while discussing audits the topic of "trunk files" came up. A trunk file is a file so bad that it magically (i.e. someone runs it out of the building) ends up in the trunk of a car so that auditors cant find it. I asked "what happens when all your files are trunk files?" Without a second of hesitation he blurted out laughing "Get in the trunk!!"

So sorry to see Gordie's gone. Many great memories from Carthage Central, and got to work for him once at Ontario Beer Hall on Camp Drum (before it was a fort). We used to play chess up in the little control room in the auditorium, and between him and Dave Ballard, I learned how to run vey well. Always enjoyed the pleasure of his company, and wish I had known you lived in Watertown. My heart goes out to you, Deb, and may you find comfort and solace to help ease you through this.
