I had the privilege of working with Emmy at CAH. Emmy was an amazing nurse and her patients loved her. No matter how stressful, Emmy always had a way of getting us through the day with humor and laughter. I loved her spontaneity and love for life. One day we were at work and spent time planning a trip to NYC so we could take her daughter, Bela, to see a Broadway play (The Little Mermaid). I found a couple of pictures from that trip that I will share. Emmy was a beautiful soul and this world was a better place because of her presence. Emmy, you will always be in my heart. Until we meet again.

I'm am so so at a loss for words. My amazing beautiful friend is gone. Emmy, was a ill do it at the spare of moments notice type of women. (As am I ) she had the biggest heart ❤️ an such a kind soul. Bela was her world . And now Bela has angel with her all the time. Watching and guiding her through life. My heart is completely broken and I'm sure Maurines and the family is as well. Im so sorry this happened to such an amazing women to ur daughter, to your mother, sister, aunt, best friend. Emmy will be deeply missed by many .she always could make me laugh on my worst days. Thats who she was. Unless, she was mad lol then we all know that attitude she had was scary lord have mercy. I miss her .. love to you all. And xoxox to our angel up above .

Decades of friendship and a closeness I was lucky enough to have with Emmy, my forever friend. From childhood playing dolls and climbing trees... of course to save one of her cats, to becoming teenagers; me relentlessly asking Emmy to play me Fur Elise and her always giving in, playing sports, getting fancy for prom, boyfriends and sleepovers, road trips to Myrtle and finally adulthood. Getting jobs and living our crazy busy lives and finally sharing motherhood. We have so many amazing memories that I will forever cherish. Emmys beauty lit up and room and when she smiled it was felt by everyone around her. I love you Em!

Long long time ago in 96/97 I met the wonderful Emmy in Carthage, as I was an exchange student from Norway staying with the Blondin's.
Emmy was a sweetheart, a kind spirit, she had the biggest smile, the kindest eyes and a wonderful laughter.
She took me into her heart, and I never forgot about her.
My deepest condolences from the bottom of my heart to the family, and to her daughter. This is really saddening.
