Obituary of Robert Dumaw

GRIEG – Robert James Dumaw, 75, 4433 Lyons Falls Rd., died peacefully at home on June 8, 2022. Born on February 17, 1947 in Plymouth, England , the son of Wallace and Phyllis Bartlett Dumaw. He graduated from Carthage Central School with the Class of 1966. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 -1970. He was employed by Kraft-Heintz in Lowville, retiring as a supervisor with over 30 years of service. Robert was heavily involved in all outdoor sports, such as hunting, fishing and golfing.. He was an avid sharpshooter. He was a member of the Northern Tier Trap League, the Glen-Grieg Fish and Game Club and the Amatuer Trapshooting Association. He particiapated in many trapshooting events at clubs all over New York State, winning numerous trophies and prizes. He was also an avid and gifted gardener who loved to share its wealth with all the countryside, best cook this side of Heaven, and had the best friends a man could ask for. He is survived by his daugther, Michaela “Mickie” Ann Brown of Purdy, Missouri and his brothers; Tony Dumaw, Carthage, John Dumaw, Rochester, Mike Dumaw, Dexter and his sisters; Andy Hofbauer, Deer River and Krissy Corbett, Ft. Myers, Florida. A funeral service with Military Honors will be held on Friday June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage.
