I had 26 years to spend with my Poppy. 26 years of ice cream dates, berry picking, diner eating, driving around NYS sight seeing, pancake making, camping. Some of my favorite memories with Poppy, was walking across the street to see the windmills when I was little, he - still to this day, he loved those little red lights on top flashing at night on them. When I was little I use to climb the tall Pines on cataract street and Poppy would always play catch with me with pine cones while I was in them and he was sitting on his back porch. Poppy never missed a soccer game of mine, he never missed a basketball game that I only cheered at, and he never missed a cheerleading competition of mine. Getting ice cream with him at many different locations; and for some reason those ice cream cones always gave him trouble, leaking, breaking, bees landing on his ice cream - you name it, it happened to him. Green House shopping, Flash light "tag" through our living room windows when I was little and we were neighbors on Cataract Street - to light "tag" as i grew up and moved into my own place. Every time he dropped me off or I left his home we would flicker our outdoor lights to each other and pump our breaks if we were the ones in the car driving away. Poppy meeting my babies for the first time. When we took our train ride for the fall foliage.
Poppy gave me a life time of memories, and all he did was give me some of his time and it was the greatest gift I could have ever received and watching him share that same gift to my babies <3. I am forever grateful to be filled with the unconditional love he has given us.
When I am missing my Poppy I know I will find him with me If I hop in my car and go for a drive. He'll be by my side as I walk through a greenhouse. When I go for a soft served treat he will be waiting in line with me and when I visit him in the evening where he rest to view those windmill flashing lights I wont be short of company and as I walk by the great tall pines I know my Poppy will be right by my side... and maybe we'll play a game of catch.
I love you Poppy, Love Bug

I didn't know Billy when he was older. In high school, he was a really nice guy. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Billy was a favorite Cousin of mine.
I used to sing the song, “where have you been Billy Boy, Charming Billy”
I lost Track of him when I married a Air Force Man from South Dakota.
I had always hoped to see him when I visited home.
I did not know where he lived after his wife died.
I loved the Obituary Photo! , That was Our Bill.
I was told he died Peacefully and that he had care of loved ones.
My only regret was that I never was in contact with him for so long.
God Rest his soul, he was the best!
