We had the honor of meeting Larry threw very good friends of ours Bob and Rhonda Henderson . Many years ago we all used to stay at Larry’s house when we went up to tug hill to go snowmobiling for the weekend. Larry always made us feel very welcome in his home . He was a kind and generous man with a Huge Heart . He will be missed by many many people.

Happened to meet him many years ago with one of his nephews. Years later I was headed for the hill and my vehicle was acting up by his house. I pulled in and he removed a battery from one of his vehicles. I made it to my destination. Couldn’t ask for a nicer guy. Rest in peace.

We are all mourning a legend on Tug Hill. I'm fortunate enough to have had a camp for the past 20 years across the street from my Uncle Larry. We've had lots of good times...best drinking buddy EVER! He loved to have a good time with family, friends and ...dogs!
Godspeed ol' boy. Rest in peace. I'll miss you so much!

Sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We have a lot of fond memories. He and his brother established the Montague Inn and Wayne and I purchased it in1983. Had lots of fun with Larry there. RIP Larry.

Q: How would you describe Larry to someone who had never met them?
A: Growing up with the Gillespie family at Montague Inn. Larry was always a joker and always would make you laugh. Was great friends with my mom and dad . He would always pick on me for something. ☺️ I grew up with his love of people ,animals , and always had a great time at any party or event. Will dearly be missed.
