Obituary of Jeffrey Lee Markham

WEST CARTHAGE- Jeffrey Lee Markham, 70, of 222 State Street, died peacefully on January 21, 2023, at his daughter's home in Rome, NY. He was born on May 9, 1952, in Constableville, NY to the late Willis & Eleanor Jean (Jones) Markham. Jeff graduated from school in Lewis County. He was an extremely talented man; he was self-employed and worked in construction for many years. He is predeceased by his wife, Pamela Markham. He is survived by his daughters; Shiona Markham & her significant other, Mark Arbes, Rome, NY; Shae Solinsky, Williamstown, NY; along with three stepchildren, Anne Hendrick, Jay “Lee” Peirce, and Jay Benson and his 6 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Doug (Diane) Markham, and Eric (Pam) Markham along with several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, bingo, sudoku, and bowling and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and serving his community. He was always willing to help a hand to many of his friends, he would help anyone in any way he could. Per his wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Arnold, officiating.
