I worked with Bob at the NYAB starting in 1974 as a machinist trainee. Bob was an excellent instructor and a great guy. We were together for maybe five years and I stayed in the area and ran some other equipment.
I learned a lot from Bob. He was a hard worker and a fast worker. And it was piece- work so you had to work fast. He had a great sense of humor and could be sarcastic and funny lol. I worked at the NYAB for 20 years so I saw him now and then we were friends for a long time and I happen to see him about three years ago.
Very sorry to hear about your loss. he was respected for his work ethic .
Coincidentally I also raised rhubarb I did not know that about him.

Jason and Amanda- Mom and I are so sorry about your dad. We enjoyed visiting with him when he came over. Mom has been going call him for weeks now, but kept forgetting. She is sorry she hadn't talked to him for awhile. We were lucky to know him.

To "Bob's" family, I am so sorry for your loss. You should be very proud of your Dad. He was a great volunteer at SSV. That is where I met your Dad, I worked in the activity dept, he was always helping the residents with bingo, visiting with the residents, helping transport the residents to and from the activities. He will be missed by alot of people at SSV.

I am grateful that your father's path and mine crossed years ago. He offered a kind smile and a warm handshake to many of us when we needed it most. In his gentle way, he guided us on our journey to serenity. My sincere condolences to Jason and family at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Bob.

I grew up with Robert and his two brothers. He and his family lived on West End Ave and I lived with my parents and sister on Parham Street in Carthage NY. I knew Richard and Jack had passed and now am saddened that Bob also has passed. May he and his family rest in peace.

Jason,
I have many fond memories of your Dad.
Henry St will never be the same. He was a kind hearted man who loved his land and freely shared his part of the creek whenever I came to EM. Sending you and yours condolences and prayers of comfort.
