Obituary of Judy J. Morrow

CARTHAGE- Judy J. Morrow, 68, of 22130 County Route 47, Carthage, NY, passed away August 13, 2015 at the Country Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Copenhagen, NY, on August 23, 1947, the daughter of Donald & Bertha Hessler Avery. She graduated from Copenhagen High school in 1966 and was employed as a security officer for Champion Paper in DeFeriet, NY before becoming disabled. Judy married David L. Morrow on June 24, 1999 with a waterfall setting on Long Pond. She was a lifetime and honorary member of American Legion Bassett-Baxter Post #789, Carthage, NY. What was apparent was Judy's love of flowers and gardening; she won best of show at the Lewis County Fair for her rock gardens, and her love for the Lord. Judy is survived by her loving husband, David, seven children, Lawerence,'Larry' & Dawn Johnson, Jr., Zoloft Springs, FL, Robert Johnson & Michael Nguyen, Hunting Beach, CA, Melissa Markowski, Carthage, NY, Christopher Johnson, Watertown, NY, Jeffrey Morrow, Tucson, AZ, Lucas & Corey Morrow, and Jacob & Shannon Morrow, all of Lowville, NY, two brothers, Sonny & Kay Lortie, and Bill Lortie all of Copenahgen, NY, a son-in-law, Robert Markowski, Fayetteville, NC, thirteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Lamb, and sister-in-law, Nancy Lortie. Calling hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from the Lundy Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Rutland, NY with Pastor Darlene Jensen Officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, NY.
