Obituary of Frank L. Dimock

LAFARGEVILLE – Frank Dimock, Jr., 79, 31181 Rte. 180, died Friday evening, August 5th, 2016 at home, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Born in North Gouverneur on April 6, 1937, the son of Frank and Evelyn Johnston Dimock, Sr., he attended school in Heuvelton. He worked on the family farm with his parents before serving in the United States Navy as an electricians mate. He retired from the US Navy in 1975 and then was employed by the former St. Regis Paper Co in Deferiet until his retirement. His first wife, Joyce Tucker Dimock, died in 1992. He then married Shelia Wood-Alcombrack in 2013. Frank was a former member of the Great Bend Fire Department and the River Run Hunting Club; he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Shelia and his children; Francine Eubanks, Georgia, Mechia Williams, Dexter, Tonya Bryan, Stationed overseas in the United States Navy, and Kyle Alcombrack, LaFargeville. Also surviving are his siblings; Ramona Smith, Lowville, Loretta Pratts, Lowville, Stella Vancone , Louisianna and Lori McVoy, Florida, along with 6 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Joyce and his brothers, Carl Dimock, Orton Dimock and Gerald Johnston. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial will follow in Felts Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at the Funeral Home from 4-7 PM.
