Obituary of Julie A Farney

CARTHAGE – Julie A. Farney, 39369 NYS Route 26, passed away at her home on Sunday morning, November 13th, 2016, under the care of her family and friends. Born on May 1, 1953 in Carthage, the daughter of Odle Garreffa and Veronica Fuller and the late Lawrence Fuller. She married her longtime companion, Bruce F. Farney on May 8th, 1999. Julie loved taking care of everyone and didn't want anything in return. She loved playing Cashword scratch off tickets, bingo, puzzles, playing games on her computer and going to the casino. She enjoyed going to karaoke with her husband Bruce and mingling with people. She loved spending time with her family and playing Yatzee with her best friend of many years, Emma Tyler. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Julie was a very strong and positive woman and wanted nothing from anyone, but gave the world to everyone. Words cannot express how much joy she gave to everyone and she was very loved by everyone who knew her; she will be missed immensely. She is survived by her husband, Bruce, her mother, Veronica Fuller, a son, Danny Davis and his wife, Renee, a daughter, Lisa DeLosh, a son, Ricky Farney and a step daughter, Angela Ramsey. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tyler Ritz, Sahrae Ganter and her husband, Nick, Jacob Kilbourn, a great granddaughter, Isabella Ritz and several nieces and nephews. Other family members include her sister and late brother in law, Barbara and Gary Guyette, a brother and his wife, Paul & Sharon Fuller and her late brother Clarence "Sonny" Pickering and his wife Connie Pickering. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 2016 in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St, Carthage, with the Rev. Roger Mono officiating at 11:00am on Thursday. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16th from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
