Obituary of William Herbert Cory

HARRISVILLE- William (Bill) H. Cory, 81, of 14170 Apt. 5D Harris Courts, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at The St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. He was born on April 7, 1935 in Cortland, NY to Herbert & Clara Hildareth Cory. He was a laborer in the Auto business and worked for various places, he also was a taxi-pilot in his later years in Cortland. He is survived by one son, William Cory, Ithaca; a grand-daughter, Chiara; a grandson, David Cory, NYC and a special friend, Alice Hooper, Harrisville. He is predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Cory in 2016. He was very active in the Town of Diana Museum; he was leader of the Harrisville Hiking club. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage from 11:00am-1:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with The Reverend Fran Hemstreet, pastor of the Harrisville United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in the East Homer Cemetery at in the spring.
