CARTHAGE- James L. Newvine, of 222 State Street, formerly of 527 Francis Street, died on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. He was born on October 16, 1949 in Hermon, New York to the Late Frank and Gertrude Barnhart Newvine. He attended school in Canton. He worked for various places as a Truck Driver, and The New York Airbrake in Watertown, NY. He married Shirley Brayton in 2002 in Carthage. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, Carthage; 3 daughters, Tammy Hall, Carthage; Angela Deshane, Massena; Amy Jarvis, St. Regis Falls; and a son, Chris Newvine, Wisconsin. He is also survived by a sister, Joan Casario, Mexico, NY; 10-grandchildren, and 9-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing & hunting and his doing yardwork. He also loved to work on his truck. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619.
