CARTHAGE – Gary A. Baker, 66, 35380 Jackson II Rd., died Wednesday afternoon, May 10th, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Vermont on July 27, 1950, the adopted son of John and Gertrude Jock, he resided in Carthage for most of his life. Possessions weren't of much value to him, in fact, he got more satisfaction in doing for others, even if it was all he had. He is remembered for his strong will and unyielding sense of humor in any situation.
Gary is survived by his children, Tina M. Baker, Carthage, Gary A. Baker, Columbia, Missouri, Mary L. Baker-Martin, Mexico as well as a son, Jason Camp.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17th, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Condolences and donations may be made to Tina Baker, 35380 Jackson II Rd., Carthage, NY 13619.
