CARTHAGE- Chad J. Pate, 43, of 3541 Roberts Road, died at home on June 14, 2017. He was born on February 8, 1974 at the Carthage Area Hospital to Ronald J. & Shirley J. (Aubin) Pate. He graduated from Copenhagen Central School in 1992.
He started working for AMF in Lowville, then he went to National Tractor Trailer School Inc. located in Liverpool. After school he worked for PEPSI out of Watertown for a short time and then started to work for Hi-Lite Markings in Adams. His last place of employment, he was employed by the government as a Civilian Security Guard, on Fort Drum at the Main Gate, he also worked as a Federal Police Officer, in the Public Works department.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald & Shirley Pate, Deer River; several siblings, Paul J Pate, Ilion, NY; Michelle (Michael) Tully, Tammy Baker, and Ronald J.(Kim) Pate II, all of Carthage.
He loved fishing, hunting, going to Gurnert's Camp, a member of the New Breman Fishing Game Club and the New Breman Rod & Gun Club.
Donations can be made to the Copenhagen Fire Department.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday, June 19, 2017at 11:00am located on Route 12 in Copenhagen. A reception will follow at the Copenhagen Fire Department. Burial will be held privately by the family. Online condolences in his memory www.lundyfuneralhome.com
