Obituary of Marie A. VanDyke

Marie A. VanDyke Copenhagen, NY – A Memorial Service for Marie A. VanDyke, 82, 9531 Woodbattle Road, will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, 2 September, 2017, at The City of Refuge Christian Church in Great Bend, New York. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the memorial service. Marie died at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday evening, Aug 22, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The City of Refuge Christian Church Nehemiah Building Fund, 32500 NY-3, Great Bend, NY 13643; Web Site: www.corccnny.com. Her "title" within the church was "Mother of the Church". She was an active supporter of this fund. Surviving are one brother & wife (Raymond L. & Judy Spann), two daughters & a son-in-law (Mitch & Shirley Beyer and Billie VanDyke), and one son & daughter-in-law (Robert & Juanita VanDyke), two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Her parents (Leslie E. & Gladys Spann), three brothers (Kenneth C Spann, Dennis N. Spann & Leslie Spann Jr) and one sister (Joyce Spann) preceded her death. Marie lived in Lowville NY for many years working at AMF Bowling Factory. Her last employment was with VA Administration in Tucson, AZ. After retirement, she returned to the North Country to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed very much being an active member of The City of Refuge Christian Church.
