Obituary of Kim M. Scougal King
CROGHAN – Kim M. Scougal King, 56, of Soft Maple Road, died Sunday night, September 3, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Lewis County Hospice.
Kim was born in Cortland on June 25, 1961, a daughter of the late Clarance and Betty Branagan Scougal. She attended Carthage Central School and later went on to work at a dry cleaning company in Florida for many years. She married Steven King, and they later separated but have remained friends. Kim enjoyed gardening and garage sales but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Sheena (Andrew) King LaPlatney of Croghan; Jessica Lynn King of Croghan; Dustin (Jessica) King of Lowville; two sisters, Robin (Ed) Lawton of Theresa; Rosalie Paul (Jim Switz) of Palm Coast, Florida; a brother, Keven Scougal of Theresa; four grandchildren, Levi Petrie; Dustin King Jr.; Christian King; Adaline Marie Leda King; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 12-2 PM at Lundy Funeral Home, 500 State St., Carthage, NY 13619. A funeral service will be at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.
