I had the pleasure of working with Dick in the core room at the paper mill in Defereit. We all worked hard under Dicks supervision , if you did your share you were treated as an equal. Despite the labor intensive nature of the job it was fun working with Dicks crew.I am sad to hear of his passing, we lost one of the good guys today, and I offer my sincere condolences.

Knew Richard and his family when I was a little kid in Bishopville. Thought a lot of him. Such a nice guy. He was always kind to this aggravating little kid with 3 older sisters. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, today and in the days ahead.

Poppi was such an example of a strong will to serve Jehovah and be with his spiritual family even though he was so sick. A beautiful man. I got to say goodbye Tuesday morning before I left for Florida. He opened his eyes just long enough to say, "I love you Jan" then closed them again. That memory will stay with me for a long time. Someday I'll tell him how much comfort he brought to me.
