Anytime a family looses a loved one, it is sad.. and it hurts,,,but to when it is someone so young, and special, you just can't seem to believe it.. It was pure pleasure to work with Tom and a gift to be able to call him a friend of mine. Always a smile, and some kidding around.. never failing to ask how my family was. The last time I saw Tom was last fall... at lunch.. he came over and we talked for a good while.. little did I know it would be our last... May he rest in Peace..... Gary

I am so heartbroken over the loss of my cousin "brother". We grew up together and I have so many memories. We had a private joke. When we were young, Tommy and I were always relegated to the kid's table at holidays. I would say to him, It's so nice of you to take me out to dinner." It would make him so mad. He would say, "I did not take you out to dinner." We would go through that routine every time we got together as adults.
I know you are up there playing instruments and singing with the Angels.

To Tom's wife, children and father, my deepest sympathy goes out to you. I knew Tom for many years from the times he played in his band at Harrisville Central School for our school dances to singing with his son in his band here in Watertown. Charlotte and family,
I was sad to learn the news of Tom's passing. Although it had been many years since we'd been in touch, I always considered Tommy to be a good friend of mine. Tom mentored me, sharing his talent and experience as a gifted guitarist/musician. He gave me encouragement and inspiration when I began performing as a vocalist/guitar soloist entertainer in 1979. I will never forget his patience and kindness.
Tommy's smile and great sense of humor would shine every time the gang got together for a "game feed" at Stan Buzzell's house. We all treasured those times together...with many memories of good food, great friends, hunting and fishing stories, lots of laughs, and a guitar jam session to top off the evening.
Tom will be greatly missed by many. I know I will think of him often. Please know that thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

To my old friends, the Garrett Family-
I was heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing. I want you to know that when I picture him in my head, I see him sitting in your living room, playing the guitar and singing. I can still hear his voice...it makes me smile.
