COPENHAGEN- Marion L. Snyder, 84, of 7989 Cobb Road died on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility, where she had been a resident since February. She was born on January 17, 1931 in the Town of Harrisburg to Carl and Vera Hoppel Sheldon. She graduated from Copenhagen School.
She married Charles W. Snyder on June 24, 1951 in the Town of Harrisburg. The couple ran a farm together he died on July 18, 1979.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Thomas) Breen, Oswego; Linda Snyder, Houston, TX; Cindy Eves and her fiancée Terry Staplin, Watertown; Terry (Bertha) Snyder, Copenhagen; Kathy Reed, Lowville; Danny (Becky) Snyder, Wolcott, NY; David (Erin) Snyder, Warwick, NY; She is also survived by 19-grandchildren and 10-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She loved animals, going to church with her family, and her garden.
She is predeceased by a brother, Carl Sheldon, Jr. He died on December 22, 2014 and a sister in law, Rose Sheldon.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 6-8PM and on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Lundy Chapel, 10229 Washington Street in Copenhagen. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm. Burial will be held in the spring in the Riverside Cemetery in Copenhagen. Online condolences can be made to www.lundyfuneralhome.com
