THERESA – John Henry McLane, 74, 33999 Eddy Rd., passed away after a 9 year battle with cancer early Saturday morning, June 6, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
John was born in Lowville on August 22, 1940, the son of Clarence & Ruth Archer McLane. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He had also previously retired from Champion International. A previous marriage to Avis McLane ended in divorce and his second wife, Sue McLane, predeceased him. He married his wife Roberta Scram on November 29, 2008. He lived his life to the fullest; he loved sailing, snowmobiling and going for drives with his wife.
John was a loving, devoted father who was deeply proud of his children and their accomplishments. Besides his wife, Bobbi, he is survived by his son and daughter in law, Michael & Christine McLane, his daughter and son in law, Cherri & Mike Rich, his daughter and her companion, Denise McLane & Frank Shaw, his daughter and son in law, Selinda & William Spears, his step-daughter, Andrea Saylor, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister and her husband, Ruthie & Bernard Brady, his brothers and their wives; Peter & Jackie McLane, Doug & Bridgette McLane, several nieces and nephews and his beloved feline companion, Maxwell.
He is predeceased by his parents, a son, Joseph, a daughter, Deborah and his second wife, Sue.
Per his request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the Richard E.
